Thanks for the comment on my blog. As for how to keep the post at the top, I found out quite by accident! Once something is posted, you go in and edit your post. At the bottom you will see something that says 'Post Options', click on this and you can just change the date to whatever date you want. The post will remain at the top until that date.
If you go into Post Options on a post BEFORE you post it, you can then choose a date and schedule a post.
